Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect: (a) account information (name, email) via Clerk when you sign up; (b) quiz session data (answers, scores, timing) stored in our database; (c) payment information processed directly by Stripe — we never store card details; (d) basic usage data (page views) for analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; display your quiz history in your dashboard; send transactional emails (purchase receipts, report-ready notifications) via Resend; process payments; and respond to support requests.

3. Data Storage

Quiz results are stored temporarily in your browser's localStorage and, after purchase, persisted in our Supabase database linked to your account. Test session data (answers, score, timing) is retained for the life of your account.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting). Each processor is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable law.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to temporarily store your quiz result between test completion and purchase, and sessionStorage to cache purchase verification. We may use cookies set by Clerk for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@forticlaw.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including access, rectification, and data portability.

7. Data Retention

Account and quiz data is retained for the life of your account. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, Supabase Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, and Clerk's secure authentication infrastructure. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

IQScopeX is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us for immediate deletion.
